Geneva Lake Museum

Take a step into the golden age of Lake Geneva at the museum that encapsulates so much of its history. Learn about the day-to-day life of Wisconsin citizens in the 19th and 20th centuries. You’ll be able to interact with old steam engines, cars, boats, and learn about the culture that created Wisconsin.


There are also Native American exhibits, guidebooks that will point you to historically important sections of town, and an adorable gift shop full of books and trinkets so you can remember your visit.


Yerkes Observatory

Address: 373 W Geneva St, Williams Bay, WI

Lying on the banks of Geneva Lake is one of the best temples of learning in the Wisconsin valleys. The Yerkes Observatory is a place where scientists have looked to the stars for answers about the cosmic mysteries of the universe, and you can play a small part in this during your stay.


The Space and Spaces Tour is 1.5 hours long. A guide will walk you through the impressively designed building to highlight its architecture, restoration efforts, and historical facts about the building. If you’re a history buff and a science nerd, you

Black Point Estate

Walk through a historic mansion on the banks of Geneva Lake in Black Point Estate. The Victorian house offers a glimpse into the life of the wealthy in the 19th century. On top of the wonderful interior, you’ll be able to peruse the gardens at your leisure and get some stunning pictures of the estate on your phone.

Dungeon Hobby Shop Museum

Hours: 12PM - 5PM


Fans of the folklore and the game Dungeons and Dragons will have a field day at the Dungeon Hobby Shop Museum in the downtown area. Enjoy a hoard of merchandise and history of the game, stories and items related to Medieval lore, and other such doodads. Even if you can’t make it during your trip, there’s an online store so you won’t truly miss out.


East Troy Railroad Museum

Address: 2002 Church St, East Troy, WI

Hours: 9AM - 4PM


Hitch a ride on an old fashioned train car. The ride gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in a historical form of travel. Dinner and Sunday Brunch rides are available for guests willing to pay a bit more, and events happen throughout the year to match with the festivities.
